Generation X is generally identified as having been born between 1965 and 1980. As members of this generation enter the workforce, they are considered experienced, mature professionals who have qualities like independence, flexibility, and conscientiousness that make them a good fit for many jobs. Because of their experiences, along with the ability to work between two different generational groups, they play important roles in the management and leadership of organizations.
