Boolean Search
Meaning & Definition
Recruiters use a recruitment technique called “Boolean search,” which involves specifying a set of characters (for example, AND, OR, NOT) to limit the types of candidates that can be found using keywords and phrases associated with job roles, industries or skill sets within the HR/talent acquisition industry. Recruiters are able to quickly locate and identify the most relevant profiles within job posting sites, as well as LinkedIn, through the use of Boolean search methods.
