Core Competencies
Meaning & Definition
Core Competencies include the primary skills, knowledge, behaviours and abilities that every employee in an organisation needs to perform their job successfully and help the organisation achieve its goals. Core competencies are universal to all positions in HR and play a major role in determining the level of success achieved by any individual employee in the organisation based on their ability to apply core competencies in addition to the specific technical skills required for their position.
