Diversity Hiring is an approach to recruiting people from different backgrounds, such as gender, age, disability status, cultural background, and socio-economic background. The aim of this approach is to create a diverse and inclusive workforce by ensuring that all applicants are given equal opportunities to work for an organization and to minimize the impact of biases that may be associated with the hiring process.

Employers must also comply with applicable legislation, such as the Rights of Persons With Disabilities Act, 2016 and the Equal Remuneration Act, 1976, which require non discriminatory and fair hiring practices.
