Candidate-Centric Recruiting

Meaning & Definition

The Candidate-Centric Recruiting model is an overall hiring method that focuses primarily on the candidate’s experience, needs and convenience as it relates to the recruitment process. For example, in HR/Talent Acquisition, Candidate-Centric Recruiting utilizes methods such as open communication throughout the recruiting process, creating an easy to navigate application process, and treating candidates with respect during the recruiting process, in order to attract, engage, and convert quality candidates.

Hiring Experience Highlights

  • Provides an excellent candidate experience at every step of the recruiting process.
  • Enhances company brand by providing a transparent, respectful experience to all candidates throughout the recruiting process.
  • Improves acceptance rate of offers by establishing trust and clarity early in the recruiting process.
  • Reduces candidate drop offs through simplified applications and timely communication with candidates.
  • Optimizes candidate engagement by utilizing technology (ATS/HRMS/recruitment automation tools).

Indians do have candidate-centric recruiting, but there is no legal compliance for Candidate Centric Recruitment.

Legal and Regulatory Considerations

Organisations must ensure that when hiring, they are following:

  • Organisational and Ethical Guidelines for Equal Opportunity Employment and Non-Discrimination.
  • Information Technology Act, 2000 regarding Safe Handling and Storage of Candidate Data.
  • Candidate consent to collect Data, Background Check(s), and Communication.
  • Recruitment Policies, Privacy Policies of Candidate Data, and Security Policies of Information must be aligned together.
