Abilene Paradox

Definition and Meaning:

The Abilene Paradox describes an example of a group decision in which all of the people involved choose something they do not like, and none of the individuals are willing to speak out against it. In organisations, the absence of communication, lack of courage to confront others, and inadequate decision-making processes that occur are often indicative of an environment where poor leadership exists.
