Basket Technique

The Basket Technique is an HR and management development training and assessment technique where employees receive a series of work-related actions (i.e., tasks, emails, and/or decisions) to manage through a simulated ‘basket.’ This technique provides an opportunity for the evaluator to assess an individual’s ability to make decisions, prioritise tasks and solve problems under real-life conditions.

Key Takeaways for Learning and Assessment

  • Test both the decision-making skills and the time management skills.
